Not really here

Yeah, it just so happens that I am in my apartment, but just for the moment. I have not been here much over the last couple weeks. As the aforementioned entry noted, my sister and her family were coming. They arrived and I spent as much time where they were as I could, which meant that when I was here in Arkansas, I had a lot to do to catch up. And I really still haven't gotten caught up. But alas, I am on my way out the door again, this time out of the country.

Thanks goes to Duane for posting a little of the fun we were having in their presence. It will have to suffice for my version of the story as well. I am so glad that you made the long trip across the country to see us for so long. And I am glad to Mom and Gene's for giving them a place to stay so the rest of us could see them too.

But now I am a day away from flying to Haiti for 10 days to do some volunteer work at a remote clinic/school/church/refuge in the northern part of the country. My work in the clinic will be offering help for spiritual needs as well as grunt labor for the staff. Plus we will be trying to improve a safe water supply. I have several friends who are going with me on this. I will try to take some pictures but no guarantees on what I will have posted for a while. July has some trips involved within less than a week of returning from Haiti. But thanks for the prayers while we are there for safety, effectiveness, and wisdom.

In other words, I'm not really here this summer.
